What is the shelf life of your products?
Essential oil diffuser blends and mists
As all products are natural and without preservatives, our essential oils and mists are best stored in a cool dark place and used within the same season that they have been opened. The shelf life unopened is 12 months. We package our aromatherapy products in dark amber bottles to help preserve the blend and keep it fresher for longer.
Our Tea’s will come with a best before date on your packaging.
Why is there alcohol in your Aromatherapy mists?
We use alcohol in our aromatherapy mists as a natural preservative. Alcohol has been used in perfumes for centuries as a preservative and it mixes well with Aromatherapy oils to preserve and even enhance their scent and overall quality of the product. We use high-grade plant-based alcohol which isn’t derived from petroleum or denatured; it has a minimal scent and increases the shelf life of your product.
Are your products vegan friendly?
Of course, we love animals! Our products have been tested on humans - ourselves and friends and family and are free from any animal products.
Our products have been developed with 100% natural essential oils, we have used and sourced high-grade plant-based oils that are both native to Australia and from far away lands.
Aromatherapy has been used for thousands of years, Aromatherapy is derived from two words: Aroma – meaning fragrance or smell, and Therapy – meaning treatment.
When we were researching scents and ingredients for Inner States we were very keen to only use products we would use in our own home, many products on the market are produced with synthetic essential oils which may be harmful for your health, we wanted to be 100% transparent and stick to natural plant-based essential oils.
Essential oils are volatile extracts from plants including bark, flowers, leaves, roots, stems, gum, resin and various other plant parts. We have picked aromatherapy oils based on the scent and the feeling or state a scent may evoke.
Scent is an amazing sense, it can awaken a long forgotten memory, remind us of friends, family and treasured travel destinations, it can help drop us into a certain state when used in repetition, It’s the perfect tool to use in daily ritual which is why we love it so much.
Aromatherapy is a tool that we use for mind body connection and to support our physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing.
We have sourced 100% natural non synthetic oils and the incense is free from other nasty fillers and additives.
Why is my space mist cloudy?
We use alcohol to help the oil mix with the water. We looked at creating a recipe with a solubilizer but couldn't find a natural one we were happy with and didnt want to use another ingredient to clarify the solution so it goes cloudy when you shake the bottle to mix the oils and the rest of the spray. This makes for a product as natural as possible.
Why are the Flow range of products more expensive?
Flow is our more premium offering. Natural ingredients vary a-lot in price and the beautiful scent of flow is created using natural and somewhat expensive essential oils like Vanilla so the price reflects this. (going for a synthetic variation wasn't an option for us) The tea is also packed with amazing ingredients which also make the price slightly higher - we didn't want to adjust the quality of the recipe so have adjusted the price to reflect the ingredients.
Why Have a received bubble wrap in my shipping?
Our shipping satchels are recycled and re-usable, we use recycled boxes hexcel honeycomb paper wrap however your postage may come with some re-used bits and pieces we have received including plastic and bubble wrap which we try and repurpose to keep out of the bin!
Crystal Care guide
Crystals are precious and natural and have taken thousands of years to form so they should be looked after with this in mind. We cleanse the crystals with sage once purchased but have a few suggestions to keep your crystals in top shape and vibrating at their top frequency.
Whether you're a crystal enthusiast or just purchasing your first gem these babies should receive some love, respect and care once in your care.
Our chosen method of cleansing is with Sandalwood or sage smoke, clearing out any energetic debris that may have collected on the stone prior to you acquiring it. You can also cleanse crystals in salty water so a quick dip in the ocean is a great re-set. (please note this is not suitable for Pyrite)
We love the ritual of gathering up our crystals and placing in the full moon light to bathe in all that amazing lunar energy and help them recharge.
Some stones are fine in sunlight but many crystals will fade in sunlight so please refrain from sitting them on your window sills. These include quartz varieties including amethyst, citrine, smokey quartz and rose quartz.
We love to give our crystals a quick dust with a soft cloth and maybe even a gentle wash in some water with a soft bristled brush and a good dry off to restore brilliance and lustre (Please refrain from cleaning Pyrite like this but the Quartz varieties will do well with a bath)
Crystals are precious natural objects that have been mined from the earth, even high quality stones will have cracks and imperfections this is part of the beauty and attraction however to avoid any further damage please be aware that storing crystals separately if carrying them around will save them from unnecessary wear and tear
